Aspire, based in Ecclesfield (Sheffield) is an organisation that endeavours to support, empower and care for adults in their own homes. Our aim is to provide greater independence through enabling people to take control and make choices about the support they need to live their lives as they choose.

We are looking for a number of experienced Support Workers to join our existing team due to continued growth within the business.

As the successful Support Worker, you will:

  • Have experience of working in/training in adults with mental health or have an understanding of learning disabilities including the autistic spectrum
  • Be compassionate and supportive – providing specialist support on an individual basis not personal care

Based in the community, you will work on an appointment basis providing support, on a needs led basis, to individual service users, promoting social inclusion and independence in accordance with support plans. It is essential to be able to work flexibly, be highly motivated and able to work on own initiative.

This post will involve travel in the South Yorkshire area so a full driving licence and access to own transport is essential.

The Support Worker’s will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate from £8.50 to £9.28 plus excellent benefits including a mobile phone allowance, mileage allowance and a company pension scheme.

The post requires staff to work with vulnerable people; therefore willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check is essential.

 

Qualifications and Skills

At least 1 years experience and/or training is an advantage, working with adults with Mental Health or have understanding of Learning disabilities which include the Autistic spectrum.
